What is it
The 835 Weekend is an intentionally planned, invite-only getaway, hosted by the Europe region of Assemblies of God World Missions, for young adults to explore how their unique giftings could fit in the diverse context of missions in Europe. There's no registration fee for the weekend! We simply want to host you and get to know you.
" For whoever wants to save their life will lose it,
but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it. "
Mark 8:35
The weekend gets its name from the verse above. Culture tells us that traveling around Europe is a way to "find yourself," to discover your identity and purpose, but Jesus calls us to lose ourselves for Him and His Gospel. We are searching for men and women who know their identity in Christ, who desire to live with great purpose and who are willing to lose themselves following Jesus to the places where people don't yet know Him.
Get Away to the Ozarks
The lodge is nestled in the Ozark Mountains in Missouri and overlooks Table Rock Lake—a perfect spot to unplug and spend time with the Lord.
Meals with Missionaries
We want to know you, and we want you to know us too. Gather with missionaries and leaders within AG World Missions to hear what it's like to be on the mission field and ask questions about the path to get there.
Discovery Sessions
As you spend time in community and with God this weekend, we want to provide opportunities for you to explore your unique skills and giftings and learn how they fit the many needs in Europe.
Meaningful Moments
Take a walk by the lake with a missionary mentor, spend time on the porch enjoying the view and swapping life stories, soak in moments of quiet reflection or intimate worship listening to what the Holy Spirit might want to speak to your heart.
If you're a leader and know some potential gospel pioneers who'd be interested in this weekend, we'd love to hear about them!
